Well, we still need to get qualifiers. Even having 5*8 players in the main stage.

Guys, who is unknown player who got to the main stage without a qualif game? Just for example. (Kayz said: in case someone doesnt appear in the main stage he can consider the candidate - lucky looser from qualification.)

I am sorry you got VoK Kilo. I randomised the qualifiers. The point about having Pot C players play against Pot D is a very good one. I will do that next year. Sorry again for this time.

P.S. If I had to play chuvash in the qualifiers, I'd be ok with it. Either I win and I have an easier time in the rest of the tourney; or I lose and don't have a chance to win CWT. But that would be the same if I lost to him in the playoff stage, so no difference, really.

Senator did you just reupload the post Aladdin did? That replay file was broken. So is the one you just uploaded. Is it the same one? I need working replay archives!

I just reuploaded Aladdin's file. The replay files work for me. Now I extracted the files and added them to archive again. Try again please.

They still don't for me. All the other uploads work fine, but not this one. It says the archive is damaged or missing. Wtf?

There were some cracking qualifying games this year. SiD once told me he gets nervous in official matches, but he didn't show that against Senator, which was one of the best games I thought.

Ironically, your opponent, VoK, was himself (unfortunately) eliminated from CWT in the space of several hours.

Since Albino had to leave, I decided to roll the dice for the poor souls who lost the qualifiers to replace him. That seems like the most fair option, since Kilobyte brought up some good points.

The winner of that dice roll is ArtecTheFox. You get a 2nd chance :)

Why not just let pot D play quallifiers, but them in a tournament like bracket and let them play till you have 8 of them left?

This year you had 43 applicant - 24 Pot A B C players gives us a total of 19 wormers in pot D left
Make a bracket scheme of 32 give the more known higher ranked players a bye to the round of 16 and let the less known play the first round of quallies

This way pot C players do not have to play the quallifiers, the newbies to the game still have a chance but really need to prove themself (gradually, the better pot D players do not play the first round), the only thing I see as a downside to all of this, is that it takes more time than with the system used in the past few years.

Group H got 3 wormers in it who have played these quallifiers... so technically you even have let a pot B player play quallies, which is pretty unfair haha

Sorry for seeing this so late. The pot B player you mean is khamski. He forfeited his spot in CWT to let FaD play, who signed in too late. But then a spot for the qualifiers opened, so khamski played it and could join as well. This is the only reason a Pot B player had to play qualifiers. He wanted it this way.
