Help restoring the archive of CWT.

CWT is a yearly hosted Intermediate tournament. It's considered the most prestigious of its kind and has money prizes involved.

Oh, and to actually answer your question: :P
When you check "Tech. win", the score will automatically change to 0-0. Later on, when I generate the group tables from the restored games, the game result of a technically decided game doesn't really matter.

I've reported those 4 games, still there's the thing. I've checked the box for game with tech win, it would disable score, but in recordings in field "tech win" it states "no". Game number 247, if it helps.

Okay, CWT's cache tricked me twice. It didn't recognize the new tech win feature and after I had deleted it, it failed to recognize it again after some time for some reason. Anyway, it was just a view error, everything has been saved correctly.

First mess up here.

Year 2004.

fury - Voodoo (game 263)
Jigsaw - MrTPenguin (game 264)

I forgot to switch from "third place" to "semi finals". Please fix it to "semi finals".

I reported 2009. 28% of group stage games were technical wins. What a success.

Many people wanted the archive so badly and now there's only Kukumber and Joschi ready to help with it?
It was always like that, wasn't it? Spontaneously I've to think at Koras. Always moaning but never be helpful.

Well, we saved a dying tournament, woke up the community and created a basis for it future success.
So 28% techs for a group games is not that bad. I thought it was worse. Thx for your research.
Yeah, really. When you change your cows to pigeons you loose the big fucking sledgehammer called COWS. Without it you will hardly make it to SD.

It would be cool to have active head mods of past CWTs write a review for their tournament(s): Khamski for 2009, Joschi for 2010 and 2011 and Kayz for 2012.

As an inspiration, here are the reviews of other head mods (respectively just Crespo ^^):
2002 Crespo wrote:This was a try-out, indeed. I now know what should I avoy to do when I start things for next year's tournament. I should've selected better and more responsable wormers to play here, although some good and honorable wormers also joined the tournament. Some shit happened: wormers that didn't care enough to get the games arranged on schedule, wormers that just quit, wormers that have suddenly stopped replying any e-mails, and even a fuckin' cow that tried to lie about a game score and not less important he also disrespected some other wormer(s) in the tournament. Anyway I believe the playoff stage was an awesome stage as everyone managed to play their games and had fair play and honor. One thing that I would like to focus on is the oportunity we have to know other people from several places on Earth, people from places so so much diferent than the place you live. The clash of cultures and personalities is something that touches my mind. There were 8 wormers from USA (although two of them were born in Germany), 8 from UK (one lives in Holland), 4 from Portugal, 2 from Australia, 2 from Sweden, 1 from Poland, 1 from Holland, 1 from France, 1 from Spain, 1 from Italy, 1 from Canada, 1 from Finland and 1 more wormer from Brazil.
2005 Crespo wrote:CWT 2005 was mostly dominated by war veterans. Although the first 2 places of the tournament were won by newcomers they were the only ones being in the quarter-finals. There were many delays to the tournament and it was marked by long laggs from certain players. Also, there was the case of the "girl", a character known as WormingGirl, a supposed girl from Uzbekistan, which was the creation of a russian wormer whose nick I honestly don't recall, and who handed over the lie after the qualifiers to one wormer who hadn't had a chance to be in due to the lack of spots available, Johnmir. He proceeded in his disguise to the semi-finals but he revealed after realizing what he was doing. The penalty was not to be able to continue in his progress. The dutchman HHC made a comeback after one year of absence and it was Teletubbies's last CWT
2005 Crespo wrote:In this edition of CWT the number of wormers was increased to 40 since a qualifiers competition was out of question due to the amount of time needed to have it going, plus the decreasing numbers of normal wormers in the WWP comunity, which also narrowed the competition possibilites to this extent. Timekeeping was enforced by MrTPenguin who distributed some of his dreaded point penalties and cut some wormers off from the tournament, but not that many. The most times the tournament slowed down was due to personal handicaps of certain wormers. Some problems relating disconnections were reported but there wasn't much of a case going from these issues. Some valuable newcomers added great flavor to the tournament and if we take a peek at the knockout standings we'll see a 75% ratio of newcomers on the quarter-finals, although the 2 veterans of CWT in that 25% ratio of non-newcomers actually made it to the podium! The top newcomers of CWT 2006 were SirGorash, Rafalus, cOOL, Franpetas, XWorm, Dvorkin and Johnmir. Also relating players, the presence of the bi-champion Jigsaw should be noted since it was a comeback from the grave by the polish titan. And last but not least, the winner was Dario, who beated the russian newcomer Johnmir in the final, and who was therefore crowned champion of CWT, justifying his evolution at the normal style in the last years, which led him to a highly consistent level of play. This was the last edition of CWT in the WWP format

In 2012 we had a nice battle of current pros who gave everything in the playoffs and group stage to reach the goal of winning, having many close 3-2 victories. Very interesting and close games happened, sometimes also against the prediction of the votes, like Tomek winning Mablak and lacoste winning Koras :). chuvash won the cup and the prize money of 170 dollar after having to fight vs. almost all of Pot A: FaD, Kayz, nappy and Koras. He improved during the last seasons a lot and proved himself a worthy victor with high concentrated and deep strategy playing style. Though Worms in general went a bit inactive, still all games were played. Thanks for this tourney, it was a great fun.

Uninspirated text, don't you think Kayz? What was new, where are the differences to 2011, cash prize (how much), who is the champ (one characteristic). Don't start with this: "CWT 2012 edition was great. Though Dario didn't compete..."

Well I suck in writing reviews. I don't see a reason to compare it with 2011. Every CWT edition stands for itself. But thanks that you remind me that we need inspiration, especially now, after two moderators disappeared with nothing but bad mood. Thanks!
